I was admitted to Muthu Orthopedic Hospital on May 6th, 2024, and the surgery was performed early on the morning of May 7th by Dr. Mithran. The post-operative pain management, overseen by the anaesthetist, was superb. The hospital staff treated me with exceptional care and compassion, akin to that of a family member, despite my unfamiliarity with their faces.
Dr. Mithran maintained a constant presence, diligently monitoring my post-operative condition and thoroughly briefing my family on both intra-operative and post-operative developments. He provided detailed instructions on post-surgical care for me and my family. The dedication and kindness of the nurses, who offered round-the-clock care, were truly remarkable and left me profoundly moved. Their unwavering support instilled in me a renewed sense of hope.
The post-operative physiotherapy was extraordinary. The physiotherapy team, cognizant of my condition, encouraged me to stand and walk. Remarkably, I was mobilized on the second day post-surgery under the supervision of Dr. Mithran. The twice-daily physiotherapy sessions during my hospital stay were instrumental in my recovery. The hygiene of the hospital room and restroom was impeccable, enhancing my comfort and well-being.
I was discharged on the sixth day post-surgery, on May 12th, 2024. Residing in Dindigul, 70 kilometers from Madurai, posed a challenge for continued post-operative physiotherapy. However, Dr. Mithran and his team arranged for an experienced physiotherapist in my hometown, ensuring my rehabilitation continued seamlessly.
By the 11th day post-surgery (May 18th, 2024), alternate clips were removed from my surgical site, and by the 20th day (May 27th, 2024), all clips were removed. The wound was clean, dry, and devoid of any infection. During a follow-up consultation, Dr. Mithran observed my progress as I walked without any support.
Thanks to the divine grace and the exceptional care provided by Dr. Mithran, the anaesthetist, the nursing staff, physiotherapists, radiographers, pharmacists, receptionists, HR managers, housekeepers, and security personnel at Muthu Orthopedic Hospital, I have experienced a remarkable recovery. I am now able to walk normally, and my satisfaction with the total knee replacement surgery and subsequent improvement is immense.
